2010 - 2011 Season

Jamaica Volleyball "Adopt a team Program "

Dear club directors and College Coaches,

 

 As many of you know I am involved with a group of investors that are buying a acre of land in Jamaica and building a Volleyball House for players, teams , officials and coaches to cut back and relax.

See www.tvejamaica.com , We are also working with the Jamaican Volleyball Federation to help improve and promote the game on the island.  The reason I am writing you today is that the JaVA federation is working to setup an Under 13 league around the island to get the players started at a young age and have them grow up in the sport, They are looking for some help from us.

 

We would like to establish an "adopt a team " program and here is how it would work.  

 

Clubs and teams from the U.S. would send some or all of the following

 

-    Used Balls

-    Used Ball Bags

-    Old uniforms either unused from previous seasons or if the players would like, they can donate last years uniform Smalls and extra smalls please and this is Co-ed so boys and girls will work. 

-    Kneepads

-    Sneakers

-    Nets ( Need a lot of these so any will do )

-    Also they can always use some cash, this years league ( Sept to Nov ) will cost $25 US and some of the schools will have to fund raise to achieve that. Some financial amount would really help

-    Make checks payable to "Str8dnsports and we will put one amount together and send it as a Wire transfer .

 

 

This year’s league will be playing on grass and dirt courts. So you can see how your left-overs would be greatly appreciated. Plus it's a great chance to clean out the club closet.

 

Tournament directors if you want to send your lost and found  items that are left over after an event,   we will get it to JaVA.

 

In appreciation the JaVA will send back a picture of the team that your equipment goes to and letters from the players. This would be a great community service project for your players and teams. It would also help Volleyball players that aren't as fortunate as us and build a friendship across international lines
